Camp Tamarack - Driving Directions

Located in sunny Central Oregon, Camp Tamarack is a short 20 minute drive from scenic Sisters, Oregon (www.mapquest.com link).

Driving time to/from the Portland International Airport is approximately 3 hours / 160 highway miles.

Approaching camp from either the west or the east on Oregon Highway 20, turn south at the Suttle Lake Marina/Resort sign. This is a paved Forest Service Road. Follow this road uphill, watching for the signs to Camp Tamarack, turning left, then staying left at the "Y" - onto the unpaved road. Continue uphill and turn right at the Tamarack banner. Please use extreme caution on the last leg of the entrance - the road is single-lane with blind curves.  This road turns downhill to Dark Lake and Camp Tamarack. For our campers' safety, please stop and park all vehicles at the gate house.
