COMPLETE REGISTRATION FORMS

All forms must be completed prior to enrollment. It is essential that we have accurate information for your camper's health and safety and we need to ensure it is not getting missed as a result of rushing through the enrollment process.
If information such as health or medication details or cabin mate requests changes between enrollment and your camper's session, you can log in and edit the forms anytime up to 2 weeks before their session begins.

PREPARE WITH YOUR CALENDAR

We recommend you review the dates for camp with your family calendar and friends' calendars and be prepared with which weeks will work for your schedule.
All campers are welcome to enroll in one week with us this summer. This will allow us to give as many kids as possible the opportunity to experience camp!
Unfortunately, our registration system does not allow us to officially limit enrollment to one week per camper. We are relying on our community to honor this policy!
Campers enrolled in more than one week will be unenrolled and emailed an updated enrollment confirmation reflecting the one week they stay enrolled in.

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN REGISTERING

Unfortunately our program is in high demand and we do not have enough spots to meet this demand. We anticipate a high volume of families (1,000+) attempting to enroll right at 9:00am for both Early Bird and Open Enrollment. As a result, families who have completed the above preparations and are ready to enroll right at 9:00am may still end up on the waitlist.
Additionally due to the volume of simultaneous enrollments, a week may show as "Open" when you select it then become filled while you are in the process of checking out, resulting in your camper being placed on the waitlist.

2024 updates

We are always seeking to improve the registration process for our families and are excited to share a few updates for 2024!

INCREASED CAPACITY - HELLO WEEK 9!

You'll notice an additional session has been added to the calendar! We are excited for the opportunity to increase access and the number of campers who get to experience camp this summer.

STAGGERED REGISTRATION FOR EARLY BIRD

Regular session spots will be released at 9:00am on January 13th.
Adventure Team and Counselor in Training spots will be released at 10:30am on January 13th.

MORE SERVERS ONLINE DURING REGISTRATION

Unfortunately last year our system became overwhelmed with the incredible number of families attempting enrollment simultaneously. We are anticipating a smoother enrollment process this year through communication with our registration company and getting additional servers online to better accommodate our demand.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

Families will still have the option to pay in full or pay the deposit and enroll in a monthly payment plan as in years prior.
This year families choosing to pay using a credit card for tuition will see a 3% surcharge added. This surcharge is intended to help cover the merchant fees associated with credit card transactions.
You may choose to pay by check to avoid the 3% surcharge. Families choosing to pay by check will need to pay the $50 deposit via credit card payment, then mail the remaining tuition balance within 3 weeks of enrolling to secure their spot.

NEW TRANSPORTATION ENROLLMENT

Transportation to and from Bend will still be an offered service for $30 this summer, however we have moved the registration for this service to May 1st.
Historically, families have run into hiccups when enrolling for transportation in January - either enrolling in the service by mistake or ending up waitlisted for the session due to transportation's limited availability.
Postponing transportation enrollment is a small step to simplify the registration process and decrease opportunities for speed-bumps for families.

T1D BUDDY CAMP REGISTRATION

Families enrolling in Type 1 Diabetes Buddy Camp will have their own registration window! T1D enrollment begins on February 1st at 9:00am.
This will help alleviate some of the traffic during Early Bird and Open Enrollment and ease the enrollment process for our T1D families.

A portion of summer camp spots will be released for Early Bird Registration on Saturday, January 13th, 2024 at 9:00am. Early Bird Registration will close as soon as spots have been filled and there will not be a waitlist.
Adventure Team and Counselor in Training registration will begin at 10:30am. Waitlists will open for these programs as soon as spots are filled.

WHO QUALIFIES FOR EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION?

Returning families who have sent at least one child to one week or more of Camp Tamarack Summer Camp prior to 2024. Please ensure that you log in to your existing registration profile to allow for quick verification of your Early Bird eligibility!

AND

New and returning families currently living in Central Oregon. This includes within Deschutes, Jefferson, and Crook counties.
Unfortunately our registration system does not allow us to officially restrict enrollment based on location. For this reason we are relying on our community to honor this policy and only register within the enrollment period that you qualify for.
All enrollments between January 13th and January 20th will be verified for eligibility. Campers enrolled within this period that do not meet the above requirements will be unenrolled and emailed a cancellation confirmation.

WHY USE THIS SYSTEM?

In Central Oregon, there are a limited number of overnight summer camp opportunities available for families to access. In an effort to ensure there are options for local families, Tamarack modified the registration process in 2023 and will continue the same process for 2024. We still hope to have campers from a variety of places while recognizing the needs of our local community. Your consideration and understanding is appreciated as we look to balance the desire of many to attend with meeting the needs of our community.

The remaining portion of summer camp positions will be released on Saturday, January 20th, 2024 at 9:00am. Enrollment will remain open until spots are filled, then the waitlists will become available.

ARE SPOTS GUARANTEED TO BE RELEASED FOR OPEN ENROLLMENT?

All regular session weeks will have a portion of spots reserved to be released for Open Enrollment.
Adventure Team and CIT spots will all be released during Early Bird enrollment. These are very limited capacity programs therefore we will be prioritizing returning campers who have been looking forward to their chance to join A-Team and move into leadership roles for many years now! Any remaining spots will be released for Open Enrollment and waitlists will open.

WHEN WILL THE WAITLISTS OPEN?

Waitlists will open after January 20th, 2024 Open Enrollment spots have been filled.
There will be no waitlist open when regular session Early Bird registration spots are filled. If your first choice session is full during Early Bird registration, you can either attempt to enroll in a different week, or try again during the Open Enrollment period on January 20th.

CAN MY CAMPER BE ON MULTIPLE WAITLISTS?

Yes, you can add your camper to as many waitlists as you'd like.
We'll contact you when your camper reaches the top of a waitlist to offer a spot for that particular week.
You'll need to enter your credit card information but you will not be charged to be placed on a waitlist. You will only be charged once offered a spot and confirmed that you'd still like to enroll.

WHEN WILL I KNOW IF MY CAMPER HAS RECEIVED A SPOT?

All families on the waitlist will receive communication from us within 1 week of being waitlisted with an update on their status and how likely it may be for your camper to receive a spot.
Waitlist positions will be offered as soon as they become available. This may be as soon as January 21st or as late as the Sunday evening of the camp session beginning.
We'll contact you via phone or text when your camper reaches the top of a waitlist.

PAYMENT PLANS ARE AVAILABLE!

When completing registration, you can choose to either pay in full, enroll in a payment plan, or pay by check.
Payment plans require a $50 deposit followed by monthly payments from the time of registration until June 1, 2024.
Your camp session must be paid in full by June 1, 2024 to keep your enrollment.
