At Outdoor School the days are full with science explorations and other campy activities! Here is a glimpse at what some of the activities at Camp Tamarack could be! Some the terms that we use to organize our days:
Field Study: Studying science in a hands on approach that encourages exploration and investigation. We offer three field studies for each group with focuses in: Exploration 101, Decomposition, Fire Study or Water Study!
Recreation: Every student will have the opportunity to participate in three recreations which include: canoeing, team building, and a combination of archery and court sports- including everyone's favorite, gaga ball!
Cabin Time: Students are arranged into cabins by their teachers and get to spend some down time with their cabin coming up with skits for campfire and hanging out!
Each student will get the chance to participate in archery during their recreation time.
Students will get the chance to be in a skit as well as join in on lots of fun songs! A great place to gather when the weather is too chilly to be outside in the evenings!
Each morning and evening we use this time to quietly reflect on the day.
During our Field Studies we spend time exploring around camp and studying nature!
A favorite recreation activity! Each student gets the chance to participate by learning how to paddle and exploring Dark Lake.
Another one of our recreation activities. Students learn to work together to build a stronger community.
A time meant for exploring and learning how to investigate all the mysteries that nature provides!
With meals, cabin times and meetings with their teachers, the days at camp are filled with fun!
On the warm nights, we love to get outside and have a campfire under the stars! Same fun skits and songs, different location!
