SUMMER CAMP

For over 83 years, Camp Tamarack has been providing kids with amazing summer experiences to inspire them to find their true potential!

WEEK LONG CAMPS

With a 1 to 4 staff to camper ratio, we offer campers ages 8-13 a wide variety of weekly classes -- from tee shirt printing to ceramics, paddle boarding to snorkeling, and extreme sports to camping, just to name a few! With a rotating afternoon activities schedule, there’s never a dull moment. You’ll find campers making friendship bracelets or paper beads, learning archery, on a camp-wide scavenger hunt, canoeing on our lake, hiking and exploring, and jumping on our water trampoline.  And of course the gaga ball pit is never empty. After dinner the whole camp comes together for our camp-wide evening olympic games and campfire. The days are full and the days are fun!

Cost- $ 495 per week

ADVENTURE TEAM

For our older campers, ages 12-13, who are looking to expand their camp experience, we offer the opportunity to explore on and off site with the Adventure Team! The Adventure Team sleeps in canvas tents in their own little community! Your camper will venture off site for activities like rock climbing and an overnight backpacking trip. In addition to these activities, your camper will get to participate in many of the regularly scheduled camp activities, like swimming and playing on the lake front or crafting in the hobby house. You must register for this program to be included in the fun!

Counselors in Training spend the week paired up with a counselor and learning all about what it takes to be one of our summer camp counselors. They help supervise a cabin, lead daily activities, and get the afternoons to hang out on the lake. This is a great opportunity for a mature camper looking to take on a larger role with more responsibility at camp. (Must be entering 9th grade or older).

Cost - $ 300, only one session allowed

Please see T1D Buddy Camp information for more on being a CIT for that program.

At T1D Buddy Camp, children with type 1 diabetes and their buddies (siblings or friends) have the opportunity to meet all the challenges and adventures offered at Camp Tamarack safely and responsibly. Campers are invited to this active, supportive, and creative community to be inspired in the great outdoors. Medical support staff will be present to ensure a successful camp experience for all T1D campers (entering 3rd-12th grade). Teens have the option of attending as CIT.
